What goes on a fax cover sheet
- The recipient's name, company and fax number, so the fax reaches the right person at a shared machine.
- Your name and a phone number or fax number, so they can reach you if a page is missing or unreadable.
- The date, the total number of pages including the cover, and a short subject line.

Tips for a cover sheet that faxes well
- Keep it black and white. Fax machines print in one color, and large dark areas come out as a smudge.
